Why, when and whom to marry – this seems like a tough question. No other decision you will make in the course of your lifetime will affect you as deeply and as irrevocably, for the better and for the worse, as this one. And no other decision will be made in as high-pressure circumstances, and in as subjective a state of mind, as this one. Yet, this is also the most primary relationship of our life, and the one we invest the most time and effort in.

For him marriage is for society, the marriage-certificate a mere piece of document that cannot qualify someone’s love. He would have lived with me, had children with me, supported my dreams, provided for me and protected me without marrying me. Now that’s the kind of person one must marry, should one decide to, that is?

IMG_2267I know … I know… all titles these days sound similar with 3 things to do, 5 steps to consider and …. you know…so on and so forth.

But as a woman who has recently embarked on the journey to motherhood, I can say with experience that these 3 things really helped me where I am today… a contented woman who is loved and cherished and so ready to be a mother.

1) Marry the one: Sounds easy but requires deep soul-searching . Know yourself, truly, madly , deeply. Understand who you truly are as a person, spend time nurturing yourself into a good human being. Only a good human being attracts another to itself. (more…)
